Finally the German luxury automaker, Porsche has launched its most powerful and much-awaited sportscar, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS on Indian soil at a price tag of Rs 3.88 crore(ex-showroom, India). Interestingly, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS holds the record for being the fastest rear wheel driven sports car with a time of 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds on Germany’s famous racetrack, Nurburgring Nordschleife.
This is the most powerful and fastest machine ever built by Porsche and it has finally reached our soil. The 911 GT2 RS follows in a long queue of most hardcore 911s. The whole 911 series looks modern. The quad LED in the blacked out headlamps looks so stylish. The tail has become sharper with the lip spoiler brow over the LED tail lamps.
The all-new Porsche’s 911 GT2 RS is powered by a 3.8-litre, flat 6 twin-turbocharged engine that punches out 686bhp of power and 750 Nm of torque to heat up the beauty. It mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, the 911 GT2 RS can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds before achieving a top speed of 340km/h.
The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS is much lighter as compared to standard 911 model due to it’s newly crafted weight-saving parts such as the carbon-fiber bonnet, front wings, duct surrounds and ORVM housings and also added with a titanium exhaust system that is 7kg lighter and magnesium roof as standard. The new avatar of 911 GT2 RS mated with an active suspension management system which adjusts sticking on wheels as per road conditions. It also has a Porsche Stability management system that helps to control when you attack a corner at a high speed and the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system, rear-axle steering, and active driving systems along with PSM Sports function for faster lap time provides optimal driving dynamics.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS will engage in a battle with rivals like the Jaguar F-Type, the Nissan GT-R, Ferrari 488, the Lamborghini Huracan and the Maserati GT as well.
