Lexus NX 300h is one of the smallest SUV of Lexus family, Now ready to hit Indian road
The Japanese automaker Lexus unveiled its new NX 300h SUV in India. The official price of the car has not been revealed but company confirmed that the price tag will be Rs 60 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), official price will be revealed in Jan 2018. The company has opened booking at a down payment of Rs 5 lakh and deliveries are likely to be made within a time period of 6 months.
The Lexus NX 300h SUV is one of the smallest and most affordable SUV from the Lexus family globally. The new Lexus NX 300h SUV is positioned below the RX 450h hybrid SUV already on sale and will be available in two variants, F-Sport and Luxury. The Lexus NX 300h will set to compete with rival like Mercedes-Benz GLA , BMW X3 and Audi Q3 mainly.
The new Lexus NX 300h SUV is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, petrol engine that is paired with an electric motor that generates a combined output of 194 bhp and 210 Nm of torque. Using an hybrid electric, all-wheel drive with BS6 complaint motor claims to deliver a mileage of 18.32 kmpl.
On the designing front, the Lexus NX 300h gets a Lexus signature grille and the logo fits with a blue backlight to mark its hybrid nature. In terms of features, the Lexus NX 300h comes with a LED triple-projector-headlamps, LED tail lamps and Electric-folding boot gate with kick sensor. It is also one of the safest car in its league. The Lexus NX 300h SUV looks more appeal and more premium due to its Takumi craftsmanship. From the inside, it comes with some added features like a 10.3-inch split screen infotainment display with 14 speaker sound system, 360-degree panoramic view exterior cameras, 4.2-inch multi-information display with touchpad in the centre, power-folding and power-reclining rear seats. In terms of safety, the Lexus NX 300h comes with 8-airbags, ABS with vehicle stability control, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System, Pre-Collision System(PCS), Lane Departure Alert(LDA), an Anti-Theft Control System and also gets Intelligent Clearance Sonar(ICS).
As stated earlier, Lexus is yet to reveal prices and the Lexus NX 300h will come with a price tag of around Rs 60-70 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Lexus NX 300h SUV is a direct competitor to the locally assembled Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X3 and Audi Q3, but due to high import duties, the Lexus NX 300h SUV should be priced higher the competition. Lexus is currently planning local assemble cars in India and the time frame is yet to be finalised.
