The first official teaser of new Aston Martin Vantage has been released showing its new front and rear light designs for the first time.
The British carmaker Aston Martin has released two new images of its next-gen Vantage Sports car, which is due to launch in early 2018. The teaser images give us a glimpse of the front and rear LED light design, as well as its massive rear wing of upcoming Vantage Sports car. The overall design of the Vantage will be inspired by the DB10 used in the James Bond movie Spectre, as shown by a number of spy shots of the next-gen Vantage Sports car.
The Aston Martin Vantage will utilize a new generation aluminum architecture, a shorter version of the DB11. It is expected to be lighter and rigid than its predecessor, which will help to enhance the driving dynamics.
The next-gen Aston Martin will be powered by the DB11’s AMG sourced 4.0- liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that is expected to produce 500bhp. The current Vantage with V8 engine produces 430 bhp, so the model expects to exceed the outgoing car’s 4.8 second 0-62 mph time 190-mph top speed. The engine is expected to be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or dual-clutch automatic transmission (AT).
A V12 Vantage will arrive soon and expected to follow the same 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged engine found in DB11. Aston Martin has yet to confirm the date and time of lifting the wraps off the new Vantage but a unveil is expected later this year, possibly at Los Angeles Auto Show. The teaser indicates that a reveal could be imminent, while a V12 version will arrive sometime in the future. A hardcore AMR-branded car is also likely to be on the agenda. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage will cost slightly higher than the current model £94,995 starting price.
